Privacy
Last updated 31 August 2026
SUSHI48 is a free browser game. It collects the minimum needed to run a leaderboard, and nothing for advertising or analytics.
If you never sign in
You can play without giving anything. Nothing is sent anywhere while you play — the game runs entirely in your browser.
If you choose to post a score, the following is stored: the name you typed, your score, your highest tile, how many moves you made, how long the game took, and the list of moves. The move list exists so the server can replay your game and confirm the score is real.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional and only lets your leaderboard name belong to
your account. We request the openid and
profile scopes, and store two things from your Google
profile: your account identifier and your first name.
We do not receive or store your email address, and we never see your Google password.
Cookies and browser storage
Signing in sets one cookie holding your session. It is
HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it, and it lasts
30 days. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your browser also stores, locally on your device, the last name you posted under and any finished game waiting to be submitted. That never leaves your device except when a score is posted.
Other data
When a game starts, a one-way salted hash of your IP address is stored so that one person cannot start unlimited games. The address itself is not stored and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.
Who else sees it
Nobody. Your data is not sold, shared, or given to advertisers. It is stored on Cloudflare, who host the game and process requests on our behalf. Signing in involves Google, under their privacy policy.
Names and scores on the leaderboard are public — that is the point of a leaderboard. Choose a name accordingly.
How long it is kept
Games that are started but never submitted are deleted within six hours. Posted scores are kept indefinitely so the leaderboard has a history.
Removing your data
Email hello@ryan-mapa.dev and your account and scores will be deleted. You can also revoke this app's access at your Google account permissions.
Children
This game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
